Our Vision

"Knowledge is not simply acquired; it is embodied, enacted, and poured back into the wellbeing of the community."

IKHLĀṢ

IḤSĀN

TARBIYAH

To nurture holistic, faith-based communities whose hearts beat within educational institutions that impart a broad, relevant, and authentically traditional Islamic curriculum rooted in revelation, yet alive to the world.

This vision is gracefully underpinned by the enduring principles of sincerity (ikhlāṣ), excellence (iḥsān), and education rooted in lived practice (tarbiyah coupled with 'amal). It binds formal learning to the sacred imperative of righteous action, seeing education not as the mere transfer of information but as a deep, transformative journey — one that shapes character, awakens conscience, and calls the learner to serve God and creation. In this model, knowledge is not simply acquired; it is embodied, enacted, and poured back into the wellbeing of the community.

Our Aims

We believe that our communities can only truly flourish and be safeguarded from the challenges and ills of wider society by actively promoting authentic Islamic education, one firmly rooted in the highest traditions of scholarship.

This means making sacred learning not only accessible but also deeply relevant to the lives of Muslims in contemporary Britain, speaking to the heart, mind, and everyday reality of believers without compromising the richness of our inherited tradition.

PILLAR ONE

Traditionally inspired, modern educational institutions.

To establish places that teach the essential sciences of Islam — where students are encouraged to seek and attain sacred knowledge under qualified guidance, bridging timeless scholarship with modern relevance.

PILLAR TWO

A wide and inclusive range of community activities.

Spanning art, nature, education, and sport — nurturing the whole person, strengthening communal bonds, and offering faith-inspired outlets for creativity, wellbeing, and connection to the natural world.

Our Strategy

To maximise our impact and widen the circle of benefit to encompass whole communities, we actively encourage all our students to reach out and engage with the people of their own localities.

The guiding principle is knowledge rooted in practice true learning must step beyond the classroom and into the life of the community.

01 Teach

Sharing authentic Islamic knowledge through classes, Micro Madrasa programmes, and mentorship grounded in classical scholarship.

02 Support

Lending our voice and effort to any community-based initiative that promotes morality, good practice, and shared dignity.

03 Lead by Example

Quietly embodying the values we teach — so that our character, conduct, and care for creation speak before our words ever do.

Our Conviction

Sacred education is a birthright that begins even before birth nurtured in the hearts of parents and whispered into the souls of the unborn. Therefore, our approach is not limited to any particular age group; rather, education is lifelong.

This education is never merely about acquiring information it is about becoming. It shapes character, instils integrity, patience, and compassion, and awakens a deep sense of responsibility towards others. True learning also fosters community conviviality the warm, living art of joyful togetherness, mutual support, and shared purpose. Moreover, the same sacred principles that guide our ethics and conduct extend to the natural world.

We believe that respect for the environment and the protection of nature are not optional extras but integral dimensions of a faithful life. The earth is a trust (amānah), and our learning must teach us to honour and respect it.

"From the cradle to the grave — education illuminates the mind, polishes the heart, and draws the learner closer to the Divine."

Awqāf (Endowments)

Awqāf

At Greensville Trust, we hold a deep and abiding view that true community service must be built to last not merely for a season, but for generations. This is why we are committed to establishing a growing portfolio of Awqāf (endowments) and asset-based charitable activities.

Rooted in the beautiful Islamic tradition of sadaqah jāriyah a charity that continues to benefit others long after the gift is given awqaaf offer us a powerful, faith-inspired pathway to long-term sustainability.

Every waqf we create, whether in the form of land, property, enterprise, or income-generating community assets, becomes a living trust. It quietly and steadily nourishes our educational programmes, our sports and nature initiatives, our art and heritage work, and our social enterprises.

By investing in awqaaf, we are not seeking wealth for its own sake; we are planting trees under whose shade future generations will learn, play, pray, and belong. In this way, Greensville Trust aims to move beyond short-term funding cycles and into a future of enduring independence, resilience, and uninterrupted service serving our community with dignity, stability, and the blessed continuity that endowments can provide.

SADAQAH JĀRIYAH

"Planting trees under whose shade future generations will learn, play, pray, and belong."

HOW A WAQF LIVES

A single gift, shade for generations.

01

Plant

A gift of land, property, enterprise, or income-generating community asset becomes a living endowment.

02

Grow

The waqf quietly and steadily generates benefit nourishing education, nature, art, heritage, and enterprise.

03

Shade

Future generations learn, play, pray, and belong continuing long after the original gift is made.
